
Holidays are also the times to rejoice with family – spending quality time with the loved ones over sumptuous meals, dancing, sharing gifts and making memories that can help a person navigate through times when one feels alone and deprived. However, for some families, holidays are dreadful times if a loved one is engaged in a serious addiction or recovery. Some families are reluctant in inviting a loved one during this season for fear of enabling or witnessing an addiction and dealing with its aftermath.
